Denmark is experiencing rapid growth in biogas production, with eight new plants already established in Zealand and nine more in the pipeline. As biogas production expands, the need for effective coordination becomes increasingly critical.
Roskilde university has studied biogas projects in Zealand and the challenges about access to substrates, such as straw, which many new plants plan to use. However, straw is also in demand for other purposes, raising the question: Will there be enough straw to meet these needs? And will there be other new biomasses to supplement straw?
Another pressing issue, discussed in the webinar, is the distribution of biofertilizers, where improved coordination is essential to ensure sustainable and efficient usage.
